Feedback widget for indie devs

Turn feedback into shipped.

Harku is a tiny feedback widget for indie devs. Visitors post ideas, vote without signing in, and follow each one from the roadmap to a public changelog. It all runs from a single line of script.

The loop

All the way to shipped.

Canny and Featurebase stop at a board. Harku keeps every idea moving in the open, from the first request to a public changelog.

01

Suggestion

Someone posts an idea and votes for it. No account, no friction, just one click.

02

Roadmap

You triage it onto a public roadmap. Everyone can see what's planned and in progress.

03

Changelog

You ship it and post to the changelog. Anyone who followed the idea sees it land, so the loop closes in the open.

Why Harku

Built lighter. Goes further.

An honest look at where the bigger tools fall short for indie teams, and how Harku does things differently.

Harku Included
Anonymous voting

One click, no sign-in. Friction is what kills a feedback board, so we took it out.

~3.3 KB on your thread

Only loader.js runs on your page. The rest of the widget stays sandboxed in an iframe.

Carries ideas to shipped

Suggestion, roadmap, public changelog. One connected flow, on by default.

Bilingual from day one

This very page is EN + ES. Localizable out of the box.

Notifications built in

Ping Slack, Discord, Telegram or any webhook on new feedback and every ship. Server-side, so zero weight on your page.

Sign up to vote

Voting sits behind a sign-up, so most visitors leave without voting.

Heavy bundles

Hundreds of KB on your main thread, slowing down the page you put them on.

Collects, then stops

You get a board. Getting ideas shipped and back to your users is on you.

English-first

Localization has sat at the top of Canny's own request board for about seven years.

Notifications cost extra

Piped through email, or locked behind higher-priced tiers.

Canny, Featurebase and Frill are solid, mature tools. Harku is the one built light, anonymous-first, and bilingual from the very first line.

Power-ups

Optional power-ups that snap onto any plan — turn on just the ones you need.

Close the loop

Ask for an email when someone votes or suggests, and notify them automatically the moment you ship.

Proof of lightness

It won't slow your site down.

Built in public

We run Harku on Harku.

No invented logos, no “trusted by 1,000 teams.” Just the honest stuff, starting with the widget on this page.

Live on this page

The widget here is the real product.

Open the Feedback button in the bottom-right corner, post an idea, upvote one. It's exactly what you'd paste into your own site — same code, same chrome.

Open by default.

  • Measured weight, not marketing. It's about 3.3 KB gzip, and we check it before every release.
  • Light and dark out of the box. Give the theme toggle up top a try.
  • Anonymous voting, with no personal data needed to have a say.
  • Built by an indie, for indies, in public, with the roadmap included.

FAQ

Straight answers.

Is it free?
Harku is free to start — 1 project, unlimited voters, and the core loop: a feedback board, anonymous voting, roadmap and changelog. Harku+ ($19/mo) adds 3 projects, teammates, integrations and close-the-loop emails; HarkuPro ($49/mo) adds analytics and an API. Power-ups like removing the badge are à la carte on any plan. See pricing above.
Do people need an account to vote?
No. Voting is anonymous and takes one click, which is the whole point. Friction is what kills a feedback board, so we got rid of it.
Do my users hear back when I ship?
Yes — with the Close-the-loop power-up. Visitors leave their email when they suggest or vote, and Harku emails them the moment you mark it done, with one-click unsubscribe (you never see their address). It's included on Harku+ and Pro, or a $5/mo add-on on the free plan.
Can Harku notify my team when someone posts?
Yes — turn on the Integrations power-up and Harku pings Slack, Discord, Telegram, or any webhook when a new suggestion lands or you publish an update. You pick the events and write the message. It runs server-side, so it adds nothing to your page.
How light is it, really?
The loader.js that runs on your main thread is about 3.3 KB gzip (2.9 KB brotli). The full ~52 KB widget loads inside an isolated iframe, so it never blocks your page. We re-measure before every release instead of rounding the number down.
Light and dark mode?
Both, out of the box. Set the widget's theme from your dashboard — light, dark, or match it to your site with the snippet. It looks great either way.
Can I add teammates?
Harku+ includes up to 5 people per project, and HarkuPro is unlimited. On the free plan a project is just you — and anonymous voters never count as seats.
Can I remove “Powered by Harku”?
Yes — removing it is a $7/mo power-up on any plan. Otherwise the small badge stays; it's how other indies find Harku.
Where does my data live, and is it private?
Voting is anonymous, so no personal data is needed to take part. We store the suggestion text and the vote counts, nothing about who voted.
How do I install it?
One script tag. Paste <script async src="https://harku-widget.vercel.app/loader.js" data-harku-key="pk_..."></script> into your site and the pill shows up bottom-right. No build step, no SDK.
Can I self-host it?
Not yet, honestly. Harku is hosted-only for now. Self-hosting comes up a lot and it's on the roadmap. If it's a dealbreaker for you, get in touch and tell us your use case.
